After watching the first week of the finals, here’s what I expect to see happen during the rest of the American Idol season: Girls go first. Yes, Karen, Haley, and Thia are all headed for a quick exit. Either Karen or Haley is most likely to be out next; Haley probably goes out 12th and Karen follows her at 11th, although that could easily shift depending on the performances.

Moving up to the top of the list, it’s hard to see how anyone can bust Scotty & Pia out of the final two unless they blow it, which isn’t likely. Both of them already have record labels salivating, Pia will sign with Sony Jive and Scotty will sign with Sony Nashville.
